Drive
Zirky’s is a 4h 30m drive from Melbourne, a 2h 0m drive from Albury or an 8h 15m drive from Sydney.
Bright is the closest town to Mount Hotham and has many chain hire options.
All vehicles during the declared snow season must carry diamond chains. It is a requirement by law. Failing to do so may result in a fine. Depending on conditions, chains are a necessity.
There is no fuel available at Mount Hotham. Bright has the closest fuel station and all drivers should refuel their vehicle before driving past Bright. Bright fuel stations are open 7 days a week from 8.30am–7.30pm during the snow season.
In winter, diesel vehicles should be fueled by alpine diesel from Bright or other local suppliers to ensure the vehicle can operate in the cold alpine conditions. Cold weather solutions can also be mixed with standard diesel.

Helicopter
The Mount Hotham Helipad is located less than 100m from Zirky’s, a helicopter is the simplest, fastest, and most unique way to arrive at Zirky’s.
Zirky’s is a 1h 45m flight from Sydney, a 0h 50m flight from Melbourne or a 0h 25m flight from Albury.
There are multiple providers offering helitransfers to Zirky’s, however, we recommend Alpine Helicopters.

Airplane
Mount Hotham is serviced by two airports.
Albury Airport is 159km from Zirky’s. Qantas Link & Regional Express maintain regular daily commercial flights to Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
Zirky’s is a 2h 15m drive from Albury Airport, car hire is available in Albury with most major providers available.
Zirky’s recommends Hotham Taxi (now Snow Taxi) for transfers to/from the airport.
Mount Hotham Airport is 23km from Zirky’s and is accessible by light and midweight aircraft. No commercial service is available to Mount Hotham Airport.
Zirky’s is able to offer aircraft charters to Hotham and direct road transfers from Hotham Airport to Zirky’s for guests.
